Individual Therapy

The existential crisis has been reached.

You’ve had enough of feeling like this. Life sucks, and you feel like crap. Getting out of bed in the morning feels like a chore, and the day goes downhill afterward. Adulting is hard and not fun.

Sometimes, the feeling of the day is sadness or just being numb. Other days, it’s overwhelming and full of anxiety – that feeling like you can’t get ahead of anything, and it all might come crashing down around you at any moment. It’s hard to breathe.

Then, there are the angry days when you want to scream at everyone and break things.

Some days, you feel so disconnected from your dreams and the world that you wonder why you are here and what you’re supposed to be doing. You know it’s not this.

The reasons differ, but the feelings are similar.

The reason can be depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, life transitions, life in recovery, trauma from the past or more recent, relationship stress, work-related stress, low self-esteem, or existential and spiritual crises.

Whatever the problem, the last bit of gas in your tank is going toward figuring out a way to start feeling better.

Everyone encounters something that overwhelms them at some point in life, and we all need help to get back on our feet.

Finding a therapist feels like crawling toward an oasis in the desert. Will they be the right one? Will they be able to help me? Failure is not an option, because you don’t have more energy to give.

Let’s take the first steps to feeling better together.

I know it can be hard to get started with a new therapist, especially if you’ve never been in therapy before. We’ll focus on getting you some safety and basic needs first – a soft place to land and that drink from the well at the oasis. You need to “refill your cup.”

Then, we’ll grab the low-hanging fruit and do it in the way that will work fastest for your needs.

Whether we use Accelerated Resolution Therapy to quickly change thinking and bring new insights, Ketamine-assisted therapy to boost mood or break out of anxiety, or CBT-based talk therapy to build skills and change behaviors, you’ll make changes within the first few sessions. Change usually starts bringing relief.

Once you feel like you’ve got your legs under you again, we can reassess what you need and want. You are in charge of your care, and I support you. I’ll follow your lead regarding how you want to proceed and for how long. My goal is to help you live a happier and fuller life, based on your definition of what that looks like.

Don’t let worries keep you from seeking help.

Seeking help to overcome your crises is about your future well-being.

When you feel so crappy, the most important thing is to take action to make a change today, so you won’t feel the same way tomorrow.
